Pedro José Rivera, Esq., Founder of PJR Consulting and Board Member of Somos El Poder, joined a distinguished panel of national leaders at the 2025 LIDERAMOS National Symposium, which took place October 27–29, 2025, at the Kimpton Monaco Hotel in downtown Baltimore, Maryland.
This year’s theme, “Stronger Together: Multicultural Leadership is the Future,” set the stage for an inspiring gathering of Black and Latino changemakers, philanthropists, and community leaders. The Symposium has long been recognized as a space where leadership, equity, and philanthropy come together with intention, and this year continued to deepen that tradition.
Reimagining Philanthropy for a New Era
Pedro presented in the plenary session, “Sustainability in the New Era of Giving,” alongside:
- Antonio Tijerino, President and CEO, Hispanic Heritage Foundation
- Jamye Wooten, DLX, Founder and CEO, CLLCTIVLY
- Pedro José Rivera, Esq., Board Member, Somos El Poder
Honored to share the stage with Antonio Tijerino and Jamye Wooten, Pedro contributed to a powerful conversation about how Latino leaders can diversify fundraising revenue and build long-term sustainability through trust, cultural competence, and community-based giving.
The session explored how communities can create sustainable leadership models that honor equity, justice, and cultural wealth—especially in spaces where philanthropy has historically overlooked grassroots brilliance.
Discussions like these reflect the reason Pedro founded PJR Consulting, LLC: to help organizations and leaders increase their fundraising capacity, strengthen donor relationships, and cultivate sustainable giving cultures that reflect the communities they serve.
A Gathering That Inspires Action
Now in its 7th year, the LIDERAMOS National Symposium has become a cornerstone event for multicultural leadership development. Participants experienced three days of reflection, strategic planning, and collaboration across key topics, including:
- Identifying shared values to drive impactful community initiatives
- Addressing systemic challenges affecting immigrant and youth communities
- Reclaiming and reframing collective U.S. histories
- Building effective multicultural leadership strategies
- Forging partnerships in housing, wealth creation, and community redevelopment
Conversations like these reaffirm why Pedro founded PJR Consulting, LLC: to help organizations and leaders expand their fundraising capacity, strengthen their donor networks, and build giving cultures rooted in community and long-term sustainability.
Pedro expresses deep appreciation to the Lideramos: The National Latino Leadership Alliance team for inviting him and for creating a space where leadership, equity, and philanthropy come together with intention.
